QUOTE OF THE WEEK
"All of us tend to put off living. We are all dreaming of some
magical rose garden over the horizon instead of enjoying the
roses that are blooming outside our windows today."
--Dale Carnegie, (1888-1955) American businessman, author
PERSONAL REFLECTIONS
What do you spend your time thinking about? As you go through your various daily tasks, are you wrapped up in worrying about what is going to happen next, or perhaps regretting what did not happen? How much of your time is spent enjoying the wonder of the moment?
The vitality of the moment, the power behind action taken now, and the joy of pausing to experience the beauty and wonder of all that surrounds us, these are the things that connect us to the richness and fullness of life. We can plan and set goals, but even in our planning we can do so with the consciousness of the moment. After all, if we spend all our time planning for the future without any realization of the present, then we never enjoy the fruits of our labors. We can remember past experiences, but if that is all we do, then we live our lives on stagnate memories of things that have already been. We cease to know the splendor of things that are. By living in the present, our memories become the library of what we have learned, to be cherished and used for our present growth. By living in the present, our future becomes electrified with the awareness garnered from being vibrantly alive in every moment.
So today, enjoy the roses that are blooming outside your window. They are real and alive and beautiful. They are here now. Enjoy them today.
Blessings and Love,
