QUOTE OF THE WEEK

"We should every night call ourselves to an account: What infirmity have I mastered today? What passions opposed? What temptation resisted? What virtue acquired?"
--Marcus Annaeus Seneca, (c. 5 BC-65 AD) Roman philosopher, author

PERSONAL REFLECTIONS

At the end of a day do you take time to reflect on the events of the day? If you do, do your reflections fall into the categories of regrets, if onlys, why did I do that, why didn't I do that, and on and on. Then, when the next day is over, do you go through much the same exercise. Over time this nightly ritual of negative reinforcement takes the air out of the sails of creativity, perseverance, and the fulfillment of your dreams.

Every day has something positive that happened. Every day has something that you did that was a success. Some days you may have really to search for it, but success is there. Find those successes--however small and insignificant you perceive them to be--and every night as the last task before you retire, write them in a success journal. Those successes will be with you as you sleep. They will build into a nightly ritual of positive reinforcement that blows the winds of success into your sails of creativity, perseverance, and the fulfillment of your dreams. Very soon you will look forward to your nightly journal writing. You will find you will awake with a more positive attitude. It will become easier to see your daily successes.

Start tonight and list the fact that you started as success number one.

Blessings and Love,
