QUOTE OF THE WEEK
"Only by going alone in silence, without baggage, can one truly
get into the heart of the wilderness. All other travel is mere
dust and hotels and baggage and chatter."
--John Muir (1838-1914) Explorer, naturalist, conservationist
PERSONAL REFLECTIONS
John Muir traveled the back country carrying only the bare necessities. He chose to see life in its raw beauty without the trappings of "things." Do you travel light in your journey through life? Do you see and feel the beauty of nature and of the human spirit, or is your sight clouded over by the baggage of worries and concerns about the past, the future, the way you look, what you are saying, or what you are doing?
You are complete just as you are. Everything you need to be the best you can be is found within you and not in the baggage you carry. Feel the miracle of life. Each of us is unique and our potential is limitless. So drop your baggage of the past, check out of the hotel of limitations, and be the person you know you can be. Whether in the solitude of nature or in the congestion of the metropolis, all that you need to make your life what you want it to be, all that you need to really see the beauty around you, is already within you.
