QUOTE OF THE WEEK
"The most wasted of days is that on which one has not laughed."

PERSONAL REFLECTIONS
The gift of laughter: how dull and dreary this world would be without it. Laughter is truly "the best medicine" for it is free, has no side effects, and opens up channels of relief from the stresses and trials of everyday life. Little children have the marvelous capacity for laughter. They can find a laugh in just about anything. We too can be like little children, finding laughter from within. A good belly laugh gets our whole body moving in aerobic fashion. It bursts forth as a flood of the most glorious sensations and we feel open and alive. Our problems don't seem quite as serious if we are able to laugh. And when we can laugh at ourselves, the greatest healing comes. Laughing at our troubles helps us to deal with them instead of them dealing with us. We stop taking ourselves so seriously.
Is this easy? No, it isn't, not if you're not use to it. Is it possible. You bet! Start with little guffaws. Pick out a problem--a small one to start with--and find a little spark of humor in the situation. It is there, you just have to look. Now laugh . . . just a little . . . now a little more. Okay, don't overdo it. You don't want to strain under used laugh muscles. Now, how does that feel? Feels strange doesn't it. But you did it. Now set as your goal to look for the humor in daily situations and chuckle, giggle, laugh, laugh, laugh. It will get easier and you will find that your whole being will open up and magic will happen.
I would write more, but I can't . . . I just thought of something funny and . . . I . . . oh it's just . . . too funny . . . sorry . . . bye!
