QUOTE OF THE WEEK
"People who are truly effective have the humility and reverence to recognize their own perceptual
limitations and to appreciate the rich resources available through interaction with the hearts and
minds of other human beings."
--Steven R. Covey, Self-improvement consultant
PERSONAL REFLECTIONS
Have you ever had an instance where you were so wrapped up in your own ego, wants, and desires that the very thing you were after disappeared? You thought you knew it all and needed no more information or help from anyone. You wanted it, you wanted it now, and you wanted it your way. Did you find success and happiness this way?
Have you ever had an occasion where you embraced other's knowledge, feelings, gifts? An occasion where you truly realized that the whole is equal to more than the sum of its parts? An occasion where you opened up to the unique aspects of others? An occasion where you opened up to your strengths and inner wisdom--not in a domineering way but instead in a spirit of "this I give to you, and together we can move mountains?" If you haven't, try it--you might like it.
