QUOTATION OF THE WEEK
Our thoughts and our imaginations are the only real limits to our
possibilities.
--Orison Swett Marden
PERSONAL REFLECTIONS
The possibilities in our lives are truly limitless if we but realize and believe in this truth. We place limits on our possibilities through our own thoughts and not from any outside circumstances. The very moment that we accept a limitation is the moment that we have decided how far we will go. That decision to accept a limitation--based on our fears, our perceptions, our self esteem--has just defined us. Through our thoughts we can overcome outside influences in even the most difficult situations. We hear countless stories of people who have overcome seemingly insurmountable odds to achieve their dreams and goals.
It is true that physical and environmental variables enter all our actions, but it is how we define those variables that set the stage for our actions. Do they become opportunities to learn, grow and overcome, or do we define them as a brick wall? Do we look at the challenges as a rock in the road to be removed, climbed over, gone around . . . or do we just quit? All these challenges to achieving our dreams become what they are by the power and definition we give them. If your possibilities are worth your time and energy, then pursue them in the light of joy, enthusiasm, and dedication, not in the darkness of self-pity, self-imposed limitations, and half-hearted attempts.
Remove your limitations. You are the only one who can do so. Let your thoughts and imaginations fly in the limitless sky of creativity! This is the stuff that makes the fulfillment of dreams possible.
