QUOTATION OF THE WEEK

Do not be in a hurry to fill up an empty space with words and embellishments, before it has been filled with a deep interior peace.
--Father Alexander Elchaninov

PERSONAL REFLECTIONS

How wonderful it would be if all our reactions to events, all our interactions with people, all our journeys in life came from a place of deep, inner peace. We would act rather than react. We would feel calm even in the face of turmoil. We would not have to "stop" to smell the roses because the roses would be with us always. It is a beautiful vision, but one that seems unattainable to most of us. We are bombarded daily with the "fast track" of life. The noise of the city, the one-sided conversations, the ever faster computers--all this and more make us feel that inner peace is out of our reach. But inner peace is attainable. It is ours to have and to hold. It is ours to build upon and use in our everyday lives. How? Many ways can be found to cultivate inner peace. Meditation is an age-old method for achieving a deep and lasting peace. A quiet walk in nature can bring a restful and nurturing peace. Walking hand in hand with a loved one can radiate peace to that special interior place. Listening to beautiful music can bring a flowing calmness throughout our very being. These are just a few of the many ways to cultivate an ever growing inner peace. What is your way? Find it and treat it like a precious jewel. Work on it daily. Nurture it and let it grow into an ever increasing calmness. Start today! It will positively affect all areas of your physical, mental and spiritual well being.

Be at peace. Be with peace. Be peace.

Blessings and Love,
